I lived in Minnesota at the time, where Tripp had a big yard to play in. He grew to be 120 lbs at the biggest and wasn’t afraid to eat. He made the move with me to Oregon and kept me company during the long drive. When we were at my place, He’d spook whenever I swept the floors or vacuum – maybe he thought I was taking his job away from him.

“I’m going to get a Doberman, ” I said, when starting the search for the perfect dog. Then I saw an advertisement for an American Bulldog litter. Curiosity got the best of me, and I knew it as soon as I saw him. He was the only puppy with a brindled eye, but in my eyes he was perfect. I had to wait a few weeks to pick him up at 7 weeks old, and I gave him the name Tripp.
