About Tripp Dog
Linda (Roth) Smittle was born & raised in Salem, Oregon. She lived in the Keizer area for the first 14 years of her life, then moved to rural Salem and attended & graduated from Silverton High School (GO FOXES). She comes from a large family, second oldest of 15, 8 sisters and 6 brothers and is no stranger to hard work.
She got married in 1996, starting her family and by 2003 had 3 little kids and 1 on the way. Her husband got a job in Ohio so the family packed up and drove backwards on the Oregon Trail to start a new adventure. While becoming Ohio State Buckeye fans, they added 3 more kiddos to the Smittle clan, raising them in the amazing small mid-west town of Urbana, Ohio.
In 2015, it was time to come home and the family of 8 drove back to Oregon taking Route 66 for as long as possible before heading north to Oregon. Linda decided it was time to get that college degree that never happened and enrolled in Chemeketa for a business degree. Having always been intrigued by small businesses and driven by a love for coffee, she decided to start her own brand, and TRIPP DOG COFFEE was born in 2016. Through sheer grit and a lot of sweat equity, this little drive-thru coffee stand out in rural SE Salem, close to the Marion County recycle center, Oregon Correctional Institution, Amazon distribution and now the Salem-Keizer main lot for school buses, has been going strong for almost 7 years.
Proudly serving coffee roasted by The Governor’s Cup in Salem, we believe we have perfected Salem’s best cup of coffee. Just ask the regulars, they keep coming back! We believe in being genuine, kind, and giving everyone a smile to brighten their day, along with an amazing coffee drink, made just the way they like it. We love what we do and we honestly feel that we don’t work, because we are always having such a great time making everyone’s day. Come by and see for yourself, we make an amazing dirty chai that will knock your socks off.
